He also disclosed that, at the end of the month, a worker would be picked, while the overall best worker of the year will be presented an award by the Governor of the State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
The criteria to be used according to the Head of Service are timeliness, punctuality, neatness, efficiency and integrity.
Similarly, in continuation of picking the neatest Ministry or agency for this week, the Ministry of Environment was adjudged the neatest Ministry for the second week running.
The Committee headed by the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Dayo Laluwoye with other members namely Mr. Kayode Adegoke, Mr. Kelani Adesina and Mr. Oyebayo stated that, most agencies of government that did not do well last week recorded remarkable improvement this week.
Worthy of mention is the office of the Accountant-General who came from the rear last week to climb the fifth (5th) position this week.
To encourage others to emulate this gesture, a cash donation of #10,000 was given to the agency and the amount was collected by the Accountant General, Mr. Akintayo Kolawole. The Civil Service Commission which came second also collected #10,000 cash.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Sanitation, Dr. Temitope Oladele was presented the trophy and #10,000 cash donation for the second time.
Speaking of the event which was held at the Conference Room of the Local Government Service Commission, Dr. Oyebade reiterated the need for Heads of Government to ensure a clean and neat environment at all times.
While commending the agencies that did well during this week’s exercise, he urged others to brace up as the healthy rivalry is to ensure clean and beautiful environment in all government Ministries and Agencies.
