The Coordinating Director, Mrs Femi Webster-Esho while lecturing on the topic, "Anchoring Public Functions By lnformation Officers; Etiquettes Of A Master of Ceremonies" urged information officers to be on top of their game by ensuring that they are good communicators in the most effective and efficient manner as masters of ceremonies.
Also speaking, Media Adviser to Osun State Governor, Mr Sola Fasure lectured on the topic, "Opinion Writing, Features & Editorials/Techniques Of Writing Feature Articles". He admonished Information Officers to endeavour to be avid readers of newspapers, magazines, journals and academic books among others adding that reading them will broaden their ideas about places, persons, issues, events and as well increase their repertoire of events.
The third speaker of the day, Chief Photographer to the Osun State Governor, Mr Sikiru Adeoye who lectured on the topic, "The Digital Age of Photo Journalism: Prospects and Challenges for Information Officers and Photo Journalists’’ harped on the need for photojournalists to always
display a great sense of professionalism on their job.
The event which held today, Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the Ministry of Women & Children Affairs, Govt Secretariat, Abeere had in attendance Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on lnformation & Strategy, Mr Semiu Okanlawon.
BEB spoke with one of the lnformation Officers who thanked the Governor for this initiative in empowering lnformation Officers in the State. The training continues next week.
