Telawaa: Did You Know?

TELAWAA: There is a difference between "you and I" and "you and me" and the difference is a case of subject versus object.

CAUTION:
"You and I" is used as the subject of a sentence while "you and me" is used as object.

e.g.
1. You and I were supposed to visit the orphanage, last week (not "you and me").

2. You and me were slapped by an official of SARS, yesterday (not "you and I").

NB:
In (1), "you and I" is the subject of the sentence; whereas, in (2), "you and me" is the object of the sentence.

I hope you can digest this?

I'm sure you often use both interchangeably.
