Osun HOS Warns N-Power Teachers Against Truancy

Volunteer teachers otherwise known as N-Power teachers serving in Schools in the State of Osun have been warned to desist from playing truancy or risk stoppage of their monthly allowances.

The State Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade gave the warning today while leading educational drive mission to Saint David’s Anglican High School, Ode-Omu, Sekona High School and Baptist Middle/
High School, Ede.

The team included the Tutors-General for Osun West and East Education Districts, Mrs Grace Ajiboye and Mr. Adelani Aderinola respectively, the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mrs. Femi Webster- Esho, the State ANCOPPS President, Mr. Dahunsi Osundina as well as the Director, Senior Management Services, Mr. Najeem Akintola.

While imploring the N-Power volunteer teachers to be up and doing, the Head of Service disclosed that necessary machinery is being put in place to ensure that those found culpable will have their names deleted from the headquarters of N-Power mission.

Dr. Olowogboyega however lauded one of the N-Power teachers at Saint David’s Anglican High School, Ode Omu, Mr. Basiru Adedoyin for his punctuality and dedication to duty, imploring others to take a cue from him.

The School Principal, Mrs Kehinde Adelabu had earlier commended Mr.Basiru Adedoyin, a Mathematics graduate from Ekiti State University for the sacrifice of sparing extra time to teach the students both Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

Osun Civil Service boss further appealed to principals and teachers of the schools visited to take advantage of the forthcoming holiday to organise extra lessons for the final year students, stressing that, no efforts should be spared between now and next year March ending to groom them for hundred percent success in WAEC and NECO examinations.
