On Tuesday, August 15, there was a Public lecture and one of the guest speakers was Vice Chancellor of Adeleke University, Ede, Professor Samuel Alao held at Local Government Service Commission Hall, Abere.
On Wednesday, August 16, Journalists were engaged in sporting activities which featured games like Table Tennis, Scrabble, Ayo Olopon and Ludo held at the State lnformation Chapel Secretariat at the Ministry of Information & Strategy, Abere.
On Thursday, August 17, there was presentation of awards for three prominent personalities in Osun and Family Day held at SUBEB hall, Abere.
They include: the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin Aroyinkeye 1, Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Olubisi Odewumi and Alhaji Ridwan Haussain popularly known as Yah Sallam.
He charged Journalists to see themselves as a light to the society, while calling on media practitioners to join government in nation building.
Delivering a motivational remark at a reception shortly after the Jumat service, Coordinating Director, Ministry of Information & Strategy, Mrs Femi Webster-Esho urged lnformation Officers to be focused and dedicated to their duties at their various beats.
Speaking further at the reception hosted by the Permanent Secretary, SUBEB (State Universal Basic Education Board), Mr Fatai Kolawole, Mrs Esho charged lnformation Officers to always be respectful and have belief in themselves, stressing that they should have it in mind that they are doing a dignifing job.
She charged them to always be good ambassadors of the Chapel and the Ministry of Information & strategy at large anywhere they find themselves.
Guest of honour at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun Council, Mr Kehinde Ayantunji while congratulating the State Information Chapel on successfully having their Press Week pledged the continous support of the State Council to the Chapel.
Highlights of the occasion was a rendition of thanks giving songs joined by the Coordinating Director, Mrs Femi Webster-Esho in appreciation to God for leading the Chapel through a successful Press Week.
