NUJ Council elections has come and gone. The incumbent Chairman, Abiodun Olalere has been re-elected into the office to run for another 3years while Boladale Bamigbola has been returned elected as the Secretary. Boladale Bamigbola won by 198votes to 161votes against Tunde Fanawopo while Abiodun Olalere, the Chairman-elect won by 195votes to 159votes against Dele Ajayi.
Others members of the council that were elected unopposed are: Treasurer, Adebisi Alo, Auditor; Olusola Egbodofo, Vice-Chairman; Kehinde Ayantunji, Assistant Secretary, Olabode Awe. The post of the financial Secretary is currently vacant.
The elections were conducted by Vice-President Zone B, Mr.Cosmas Oni, Zonal Secretary, Mr. Afolabi Lawal, National Trustee, Bamigbola Gbolagunte and Assistant National Secretary, Mr. Gbenga Bamidele.
