Man City secure 20th straight win against West Ham

Manchester City extended their winning run to 20 matches and moved 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League as John Stones' second-half strike was enough to secure victory over a resilient West Ham United.

Stones fired home his fourth goal of the season from Riyad Mahrez's neat lay-off to keep Pep Guardiola's side in control of the title race.

Fourth-placed West Ham gave City a decent game at Etihad Stadium and fought back to level through Michail Antonio before the break, after Stones' central-defensive partner Ruben Dias had put the hosts in front.

But Guardiola, likened to celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal by Hammers counterpart David Moyes before Saturday's fixture, once again came up with the right ingredients as his side improved following the second-half introductions of Gabriel Jesus and Phil Foden.

City's unbeaten record now stretches to 27 games and they will equal their longest run without defeat if they do not lose against Wolves on Tuesday.

Man United draw AC Milan in Europa League round of 16

Manchester United will play seven-time Champions League winners AC Milan in the last 16 of the Europa League.

AC Milan, who sit second in Serie A, are yet to win the competition while United's only triumph was in 2017.

Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks set to return to Old Trafford in the second leg, when the two sides will meet for the 12th time in European competition - all previous meetings having been in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, finalists in 2019, face Greek side Olympiakos, who knocked them out in the last-32 stage last year.

Tottenham will play Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb while Rangers have been drawn against Czech side Slavia Prague, who defeated Leicester City this week.

Ferrari have made 'quite a good step' with new car says Leclerc

Charles Leclerc says Ferrari have made "quite a good step" with their 2021 car but admits it is too early to say how well they can perform.

Ferrari had their worst season for 40 years in 2020, but the team have worked hard on fixing their main weakness, which was speed on the straights.

Leclerc said: "There has been a lot of work. We have been pushing quite a lot.
"It always looks positive on paper but then we need to see what the others have done as a step."
The 23-year-old was speaking at the official launch of the Ferrari team before the new season, alongside new team-mate Carlos Sainz and team principal Mattia Binotto.

Ferrari struggled last year with an engine that was down on power after they reached a confidential settlement with governing body the FIA, who believed the 2019 engine was not always legal, but could not prove it. On top of that, the car had too much drag.

Binotto has always denied Ferrari broke the rules with their engine in 2019 but has admitted its performance was affected by a series of rule clarifications before the 2020 season.

Fury says Anthony Joshua fight is no closer to being agreed

WBC champion Tyson Fury says a fight against Anthony Joshua is no closer to being arranged than it was a year ago.

Speaking to ESPN, Fury confirmed he will fight twice in 2021 regardless of whether a fight with Joshua is agreed.

After Joshua, 31, beat Kubrat Pulev in December, his promoter Eddie Hearn said the fight could be sorted in days.
"They've had a full year to try and make this fight happen. It is what it is. We're no further forward today than we were a year ago," Fury said.
"The way it is at the moment [with Covid-19], I don't think it has got much to do with the fighters. It's to do with the venue, date, place, site fees. It's to do with everything but the fight itself."
As Joshua holds the IBF, WBO and WBA belts, a fight between the pair would see all four belts contested in a heavyweight fight for the first time.
