Let's not assume we know it. Let's look up the meaning of "tantalise" in the dictionary.
The verb "tantalise" means to make you see and not have it, perhaps in a bid to hurt, torment, tease or merely trigger your desire or taste.
We have often thought it means giving someone a nice treat.
That's not correct, pls!
