Juventus Legend Buffon To Retire After This Season
The 39-year-old hopes to play in next summer's World Cup and would extend his career for the Club World Cup if Juventus won Europe's elite trophy.
The Serie A side have been beaten in the Champions League final twice in the past three years.
"This is my last season and I'm pretty sure of the choices I make," he said.
"One or two more years wouldn't add or take away from what I've already achieved.
"The only way would be to win the Champions League. At that point, to try to win the Club World Cup, maybe (Wojciech) Szczesny could play one game and me another.
"But I think with a goalkeeper like him behind it is normal that next year I'll stand aside," he told Sky Italia.

Puel becomes the Foxes' third manager this year, replacing Craig Shakespeare who succeeded Premier League title winner Claudio Ranieri in February.
Puel, 56, led the Saints to eighth in his first season in charge, as well as reaching the EFL Cup final, but the Frenchman was sacked in June.
Michael Appleton will remain as Leicester's assistant manager.
Appleton had taken caretaker charge after
Shakespeare was sacked just four months after he signed a three-year deal to take the job on a permanent basis.
Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said Puel was "a perfect fit".

The 27-year-old American, who started his round on the 10th, carded an eagle and seven birdies, the last of which included a shot out of the water.
Malaysian Gavin Green and Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat are tied for second, one shot off the lead.
Englishman Justin Rose's 67 gave him a share of sixth, three shots back.

Hingis To Retire For The Third Time After WTA Finals
The Swiss, 37, originally retired as a 22-year old in 2003 and then again in 2007 after a brief comeback.
Hingis won this year's Wimbledon and US Open mixed doubles titles and regained the number one doubles ranking.
"I think now it's definite. It's different, because before I walked away thinking I might come back," she said.
"After a season like this, I think it's also perfect timing. You want to stop on top and not when you're already going backwards.
"I couldn't ask for a better finish."
