The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja 11, has harped on the need for people of the state of Osun to ensure regular payment of their taxes and levies towards the development of the state.
Oba Ogunwusi made the call today during a "thank you" visit to Governor Rauf Aregbesola at the government house, in Osogbo, the state capital.
The traditional ruler who noted that all citizens of the state must contribute their quotas to the development of the state by performing their civic duties of paying taxes, disclosed that his palace has established a trust fund called "House of oduduwa development trustfund" to cater for the needs of the youths of the town.
The Ooni of Ife, while appreciating governor Aregbesola for his role during the transition period in ile-ife, assured him of his continuous support and cooperation
In his remark, governor Rauf Aregbesola commended the monarch for his pledge and urged him to encourage farmers in kingdom to join in the government renewed drive as a source for revenue generation.
Aregbesola who disclosed that his administration is depending on internally generated revenue in the state as a result of continuous decline in the federal allocation, called for cooperation of his people towards the realisation of his visions.
In company of the monarch, were the ife chiefs, traditionalists among others.
