Diego Costa Scores & Is Sent Off In First Atletico Start

Diego Costa

Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa scored a goal before being sent off seconds later on his first start for Atletico Madrid since returning to the Spanish club

Costa was booked in the 62nd minute of Saturday's La Liga game with Getafe before scoring six minutes later.

He then jumped into the crowd to celebrate and was subsequently shown a second yellow card and dismissed.

Atletico won the game 2-0 with Angel Correa scoring the opener.

It has been an eventful return to Atletico for Costa. The 29-year-old started his career at the club before leaving to join Chelsea in 2014.

Liverpool Agree Coutinho Sale

Coutinho

Liverpool have announced a deal has been agreed for Philippe Coutinho to join Barcelona this month, for a fee around £146m.

Sky Sports News reported earlier on Saturday evening that discussions between the two clubs had been underway for several weeks, both the fee and payment schedules had been agreed and a deal was close.

Now both clubs have announced the deal, with Coutinho taking off on a private jet for Barcelona in the last hour before the transfer was confirmed, and a medical expected to be carried out on Monday.

Barcelona say that the Brazilian will sign a five-and-a-half-year contract, with a buyout clause of 400m Euros (£354.6m).

A Liverpool statement on the club's website said: "Liverpool FC can confirm Philippe Coutinho will be leaving the club after a transfer agreement was reached with FC Barcelona, subject to medical and agreement of personal terms."

Frampton To Fight Donaire On 21 April

Frampton-BolaEshosBlog

Carl Frampton will fight former four-weight world champion Nonito Donaire at the SSE Arena in Belfast on 21 April.

Promoter Frank Warren had originally indicated that the fight would take place on 7 April but the Belfast venue has confirmed the later date.

The 35-year-old Filipino is expected to provide tough opposition for Frampton, having held seven world titles in a career that has lasted 17 years.

Featherweight Frampton won on points in his comeback fight with Horacio Garcia.

The Northern Irishman saw off the Mexican on 18 November after being out of the ring for 10 months.

Frampton, 30, hopes to challenge for a world belt at Windsor Park next summer.

The former two-weight world champion lost his WBA world title to Leo Santa Cruz in Las Vegas at the end of January.

Frampton then split with Barry McGuigan's Cyclone Promotions management company in the summer.

With IBF featherweight Lee Selby poised to defend his title against Josh Warrington, another victory would provide Frampton with the perfect platform to put himself in the mix for a title shot against the winner of that contest.
